About the role.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting and Analytics Consultant, reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence to join our Reporting & Analytics team. 

Liberty has a small Reporting & Analytics team that generate and distribute reports as well as assist business units with numbers for business planning and reporting.

Liberty aspires to be a leader in analytics globally and as a result needs an experienced Power Pivot / Power BI report builder with intermediate skills to help drive the delivery of the Data & Analytics reporting projects forward.

YOU will be responsible for –

Reporting (Enhancements to existing and new)

  • Partner with internal business owners and stakeholders to identify requirements and opportunities to improve the reports using the new UWBI tool.

  • Contribute across all project management phases to help the team with the migration, consolidation and enhancements of reports.

  • Recommend efficiency improvements and enhancement opportunities (leveraging best practice across all BUs).

  • Ensure the reports are prioritized, follow agreed processes and align to the strategy / vision communicated by the Senior Executives.

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure we share best practice.

Improve Insights & Analytics capabilities

  • Invest time learning and understanding the respective business unit’s products, strategy and processes.

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly/ad-hoc performance reports to the business.

  • Provide reporting guidance to internal stakeholders on the interpretation and recommendations.

  • Work closely with the Finance, Claims, Actuarial and Technology teams.

  • Assist in the preparation of communications, presentations, and staff training as required.

  • Report Generation and Delivery    

  • Supporting the business units with planning and forecasting data and reports.

  • Run Commission Override reporting and NCPD (Claims Info to APRA) as required.

About YOU – 

  • Holds a Business or Technical studies degree with minimum 1-3 years’ experience in the insurance or financial services industry. Those with a Project Management certification will have an added advantage.

  • Minimum 2 years’ reporting & analytics experience.

  • Understanding of system development lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of SQL Database Concepts, OLAP Cubes/SSRS, Microsoft Office (PowerPivot) and SharePoint is an advantage.

  • Has good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Competent financial acumen with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Good relationship management and influencing abilities.

  • Solid time management and prioritization skills. 

  • Has strong attention to details and is results driven.

  • Solid team player with strong business ethics.
